Tottenham Hotspur have reportedly stepped up their search for a new striker by identifying Victor Osimhen as a potential summer target, with reports claiming the Galatasaray forward is open to a move to north London.

According to Caught Offside, Osimhen is willing to join Spurs if a deal can be agreed, while Turkish journalist Ekrem Konur reports that Tottenham have already submitted an opening bid worth between £50 million and £55 million.

Galatasaray, however, are understood to be holding out for a fee closer to £65 million, leaving a gap to bridge before negotiations can progress.

Tottenham assessing attacking options

Roberto De Zerbi is expected to strengthen his attacking department before the transfer window closes, particularly with uncertainty surrounding Richarlison's future.

Osimhen has been linked with a Premier League move on several occasions in recent years, with Chelsea previously pursuing the Nigerian before talks failed to produce an agreement.

The latest reports suggest Tottenham have now emerged as potential contenders, with personal terms unlikely to present a problem should formal negotiations advance.

At this stage, however, it remains unclear how strongly Spurs intend to pursue the striker beyond the reported opening approach.

De Zerbi addresses Richarlison's future

Speaking after Tottenham's pre-season victory over Chelsea in Sydney, De Zerbi admitted Richarlison's long-term future remains unresolved.

"I like him as a player, as a guy. It's unbelievable the attitude and behaviour, but at the end we have to respect what he wants to do. And we know, every one of us knows what he wants to do."

Despite the uncertainty, the Italian made clear he still considers the Brazil international an important member of his squad.

"For me, he's still an important player, because it's not so easy to find another striker like Richarlison. He scores goals… he scored 12 goals last season, not through luck."

De Zerbi also dismissed suggestions of any issues behind the scenes.

"I don't know if he wants to leave… there is not any problem, he's a lovely guy. All of us love him because he works hard every day."
