Victor Osimhen’s future continues to dominate headlines as interest from top European clubs intensifies. The Nigerian striker, currently enjoying a prolific loan spell at Galatasaray, is reportedly eyeing a summer switch to either the Premier League or Juventus, according to ESPN.
The 26-year-old forward has been on fire in Turkey, scoring 28 goals across all competitions and helping Galatasaray close in on a league title. However, despite his success, Osimhen is believed to be leaning toward a move away once the season concludes.
After a highly publicised fallout with Napoli boss Antonio Conte, Osimhen was pushed out on loan but has shown no signs of slowing down. With 76 goals in 133 appearances for Napoli under his belt, his pedigree is unquestionable.
ESPN reports that Galatasaray will attempt to secure him permanently, but Osimhen is more attracted to offers from England or Serie A rivals Juventus.
That development is set to excite the likes of Chelsea, Arsenal, and Manchester United, all of whom have been monitoring his situation. Chelsea, in particular, are looking for a reliable goal scorer after another inconsistent season from Nicolas Jackson. Arsenal, meanwhile, are also in the market for a striker, having tracked both Viktor Gyokeres and Benjamin Sesko.
At Old Trafford, Manchester United's need for a seasoned forward has been highlighted by Rasmus Højlund's struggles to consistently deliver in front of goal. Former United captain Rio Ferdinand has urged his former club to act decisively.
“I’m sorry Napoli and Galatasaray but if I’m Man United, Osimhen comes this summer, I’m making that happen,” Ferdinand said on his YouTube channel.
“We need Osimhen, we need experience and someone who knows how to score. That’s what we need.”
Ferdinand also added:
“There’s just no experience in the forward players at Manchester United. They need a new centre forward and I’ve been going on about that for ages.”
Osimhen could reportedly be available for a fee in the region of £60 million, though his wage demands are thought to be around £9 million per year due to the level of interest he’s drawing.
Discussing his current situation earlier this year, Osimhen acknowledged the unpredictability of his future:
"To be honest I don’t know. You know the last few months, nobody ever thought I would come here, I never believed I would come to Galatasaray despite how big they are. I live for the moment. I don’t know what will happen in the summer, but I want everybody to understand that I really love this club. I love the fans, I love the president, I love everyone associated with the club. It’s really a big deal to be here and I’m really enjoying my time here."
With interest from some of Europe's biggest clubs and another strong season under his belt, Osimhen looks set to be one of the headline names in the upcoming transfer window.

They all want him. But this guy cost a lot in wages.. No one knows if he will hit the same numbers in the PL as he does in Türkiye or when he was in Italy.

I would rather go for someone else, especially knowing that Jackson is going to AFCON as well, so this move will hurt us for a month+.
