Tottenham working on stunning Savinho and Omar Marmoush double deal with Man City

Tottenham Hotspur are working on an ambitious double deal to sign Manchester City attackers Savinho and Omar Marmoush as Spurs look to further transform Roberto De Zerbi's squad.

According to David Ornstein, Tottenham are aiming to land both the 22-year-old Brazilian winger and 27-year-old Egypt international, with talks between Spurs and Manchester City advancing.

Neither transfer is completed and there is still work to do, but both players are viewed as key attacking targets in north London.

Tottenham's interest represents another major statement of intent during an already expensive summer at the club.

Savinho would provide De Zerbi with another natural wide attacker capable of carrying the ball, beating defenders and creating opportunities from either flank.

Marmoush offers a different dimension. The Egyptian can operate through the middle, behind a striker or from wider positions, giving Spurs additional flexibility across their frontline.

The crucial development is that Manchester City are prepared to allow both players to leave under new manager Enzo Maresca.

That has opened the door for Tottenham to pursue a potentially spectacular double transfer, although an agreement between the clubs has not yet been finalised.

Spurs are now attempting to establish whether deals for both players can be completed before the transfer window closes.

The fact negotiations are advancing suggests Tottenham's interest has moved beyond simply identifying Savinho and Marmoush as potential targets.

However, completing two transfers of this scale from the same Premier League rival would still require considerable work.

Manchester City's willingness to sanction departures is encouraging for Spurs, but the financial packages and agreements with the players still need to fall into place.

Adding Savinho and Marmoush would take that rebuild to another level.

Rather than merely adding depth, Tottenham would be bringing in two proven attacking options from Manchester City to reshape their frontline.

It would also underline the backing being given to De Zerbi as Spurs attempt to build a squad capable of competing at the top end of the Premier League.

The attraction of signing both players is the variety they could provide.

Savinho offers natural width and one-against-one ability, while Marmoush can threaten centrally and attack spaces behind defensive lines. Together, they would give De Zerbi considerably more freedom when constructing his attacking combinations.

For City, meanwhile, Maresca's arrival has created an opportunity to reshape the squad according to his own ideas.

If both players are genuinely available, Tottenham appear determined to take advantage.

There is no done deal yet, but with negotiations advancing and Spurs targeting both rather than choosing between them, this could become one of the biggest stories of the closing stages of the window.

Tottenham must now turn their advancing discussions with Manchester City into agreements for both players.

Pulling off one deal would significantly strengthen De Zerbi's attacking options. Completing both after already investing £229.5m would make Tottenham one of the biggest spenders and most radically rebuilt teams of the summer.
