Thomas Tuchel has dismissed speculation over his future by confirming he intends to remain England head coach through to Euro 2028 following the Three Lions' World Cup semi-final defeat to Argentina.
The German has faced criticism after England's exit, particularly over his second-half substitutions, while bookmakers have installed former Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola as the early favourite to replace him should the role become available.
However, Tuchel insists he has no plans to walk away.
Tuchel committed to Euro 2028
Speaking after England's defeat, Tuchel reaffirmed his commitment to the Football Association and the contract that now runs until the home European Championship.
"We keep on going with the contract until the home Euros. I'm looking forward to that even though right now it's difficult to look that far ahead."
The 2028 tournament will be jointly hosted by England, Scotland, Wales and the Republic of Ireland, with Tuchel expected to lead the national team into the competition.
FA expected to back England boss
Despite disappointment at falling short of the World Cup final, the Football Association are not expected to make a managerial change.
England's impressive victories over Mexico and Norway during the knockout stages are understood to have strengthened Tuchel's position before the semi-final, while the overall difficulty of the team's route through the tournament has also been taken into account.
The FA's assessment is expected to focus on the wider progress made under Tuchel rather than judging his tenure solely on the result against Argentina.
