Tottenham Hotspur are pushing to sign Manchester City winger Savinho after the Brazilian reportedly informed the Premier League champions that he wants to leave this summer.

According to The Times, Spurs are negotiating a deal worth around £60 million (€68 million) for the 22-year-old, with the final fee expected to rise through performance-related bonuses.

The north London club have revived their interest after failing to land Savinho last summer, when Manchester City valued the winger at around £67 million and Pep Guardiola was determined to keep him.

Tottenham reignite pursuit

Tottenham have made strengthening their attacking options a priority during the transfer window, and Savinho has re-emerged as one of the club's leading targets.

The Brazilian is admired for his versatility, with the ability to operate on either wing and in several attacking roles.

According to the report, Spurs' interest has intensified after Savinho made it clear he is ready for a new challenge following two seasons at the Etihad Stadium.

Negotiations are ongoing, with Tottenham hopeful of reaching an agreement in the coming weeks.

Limited opportunities at Manchester City

Despite arriving from Troyes in 2024 for £34 million (€39 million), Savinho has struggled to establish himself as a regular starter under Guardiola.

The winger started just seven Premier League matches last season, although he still contributed four goals and three assists across all competitions.

During his first campaign at City, he recorded three goals and 13 assists in 48 appearances, demonstrating the attacking quality that attracted Tottenham's attention.

With competition for places remaining fierce, the Brazilian is now seeking a more prominent role elsewhere.

Busy summer continues for Spurs

Savinho could become another marquee addition to Roberto De Zerbi's squad following an ambitious summer of recruitment.

Tottenham have already strengthened with the arrivals of Mateus Fernandes, Sandro Tonali, Jan Paul van Hecke, Marcos Senesi, Andrew Robertson and Martin Dúbravka.

The report also claims Spurs remain open to offers for several current squad members, including Richarlison and Djed Spence, as De Zerbi continues reshaping the squad ahead of the new campaign.

What this means

Savinho's reported desire to leave Manchester City has opened the door for Tottenham to pursue one of the Premier League's most exciting young wingers. While negotiations are still ongoing, Spurs appear determined to strengthen their attacking options before the transfer window closes.
