Ronald Araújo is happy at Liverpool, but his agent Edoardo Crnjar insists it is too early to discuss whether the defender will complete a permanent move from Barcelona.
The 27-year-old Uruguay international joined Liverpool on a season-long loan in August, with the Reds holding a reported €55million option to buy.
Araújo has made 13 appearances under Andoni Iraola this season, but Crnjar has played down suggestions that a decision over his long-term future is imminent.
Ronald Araújo agent responds to Liverpool transfer speculation
Speaking to WinWin, Crnjar expressed satisfaction with Araújo's performances and his experience at Anfield.
"Ronald is performing well. We're very happy with what he's bringing to the team, but it's still too early to talk about his future at this point," he said.
The agent also emphasised that the defender is enjoying his time with Liverpool.
"He's feeling great. He's happy to be playing for Liverpool and happy to help the club and his teammates."
The comments, translated from Arabic, come amid speculation about whether Liverpool will exercise their purchase option.
Crnjar had previously dismissed suggestions that the club were reconsidering a permanent transfer because of concerns over Araújo's performances.
However, his latest remarks indicate that the defender's immediate focus remains on his football rather than a decision over next season.
Araújo establishing himself under Andoni Iraola
Araújo has made 13 appearances for Liverpool across all competitions, scoring twice and providing one assist.
Both goals came in the Champions League, against LASK and Villarreal, while his assist was recorded against Atlético Madrid.
The Uruguay international has also demonstrated his versatility since arriving from Barcelona.
According to WinWin, he has played eight matches at right-back and five at centre-back, providing Iraola with options across the defensive line.
His ability to operate in both positions has been valuable as Liverpool manage their defensive resources during a busy domestic and European schedule.
Araújo had previously found his opportunities reduced under Hansi Flick at Barcelona, prompting his temporary move to Anfield.
Liverpool yet to decide on €55m purchase option
Liverpool's loan agreement reportedly includes a €55million option to sign Araújo permanently at the end of the season.
The clause gives the club an opportunity to retain the defender, but there is no confirmation that Liverpool have decided to activate it.
Araújo's positive start has prompted discussion about his future, although Crnjar has made clear that it is premature to reach conclusions.
Barcelona remain his parent club, and any permanent transfer will depend on Liverpool's assessment of the player and the terms of the existing agreement.
For now, the defender continues his loan spell at Anfield, with his agent stressing that he is happy and focused on contributing to the team.
