Radu Dragusin asks to leave Tottenham amid limited minutes and transfer talks

Radu Dragusin’s Tottenham future is under growing uncertainty, with the defender now actively seeking a transfer after becoming frustrated with his role in the squad.

According to reports from Romania, the 24-year-old has asked his agent to explore options ahead of the summer window. His situation has remained largely unchanged since January, when interest from Serie A clubs failed to materialise into a deal.

Dragusin joined Tottenham from Genoa in 2024 with expectations of becoming a key defensive option. However, his time in north London has been defined by limited opportunities.

Since the turn of the year, he has started just six Premier League matches and has recently found himself out of the starting line-up entirely. His last league start came on 15 March 2026, highlighting a lack of continuity in selection.

Reports indicate that the defender has now grown impatient with his situation and has instructed his representative, Florin Manea, to find a new club. Talks are already underway with teams in Italy and Germany, although specific clubs have not yet been confirmed.

Dragusin’s role has been heavily influenced by Tottenham’s established centre-back pairing. With Micky van de Ven and Cristian Romero ahead of him, breaking into the starting XI has proved difficult.
