Pierre Kalulu’s performances for Juventus are attracting Premier League attention, with Aston Villa, Tottenham Hotspur and Newcastle United reportedly monitoring the defender.

The 26-year-old has established himself as an important player for Luciano Spalletti, starting all three of Juventus’ Serie A matches this season.

Manchester United had also previously scouted Kalulu, although their interest did not develop into an approach during the summer transfer window.

Now three other Premier League clubs are being linked with a potential move.

Premier League interest grows in Kalulu

According to TuttoJuve journalist Mirko Di Natale, Aston Villa, Tottenham and Newcastle are all interested in Kalulu and could be prepared to spend significant money on the Frenchman.

Paris Saint-Germain are another club who could return to the situation.

Kalulu has primarily operated at right-back for Juventus this season, but his versatility is one of his biggest strengths. During his time with AC Milan, he regularly featured at centre-back as well.

That ability to cover multiple defensive positions could explain why Premier League clubs are monitoring him.

Juventus want new Kalulu contract

Juventus are already taking steps to protect themselves from growing interest.

Kalulu’s existing contract runs until 2029, meaning there is no immediate pressure to sell. However, the Italian giants reportedly want to extend his deal and have scheduled talks with his representatives.

The player is believed to be happy in Turin and wants to remain with Juventus long-term, with winning the Serie A title among his ambitions.

That puts Juventus in a strong position, but continued interest from England could complicate matters if substantial offers arrive.

Why Kalulu could appeal to Premier League clubs

From Football Place’s perspective, Kalulu’s profile makes the reported interest understandable.

Aston Villa, Tottenham and Newcastle would be looking at a defender entering his prime who can operate both centrally and at right-back while already possessing significant Champions League experience.

His importance to Juventus also means this is unlikely to be a straightforward or inexpensive transfer.

For now, Juventus appear focused on a renewal rather than a sale. However, if Kalulu maintains his current level, Premier League interest could become much more serious heading towards the next transfer windows.
