Nicolas Jackson transfer news has taken a dramatic twist, with BILD confirming that Bayern Munich have agreed personal terms with the Chelsea forward. The 24-year-old Senegalese striker is now waiting for the two clubs to finalise negotiations, with Bayern pushing for an initial loan arrangement.

Jackson is among the players Chelsea are open to offloading as part of Enzo Maresca’s squad reshaping. With Liam Delap and João Pedro emerging as preferred striking options at Stamford Bridge, Jackson could follow Carney Chukwuemeka and others out the exit door before the deadline.

Chelsea’s Stance

Chelsea invested heavily in Jackson but are willing to sanction a move if the financial structure suits them. A loan would help Bayern address their immediate striker needs without committing to a permanent transfer fee. However, Chelsea may prefer either a mandatory option to buy or a straight sale, as they continue to balance spending against UEFA financial regulations.

The Blues have already recouped a record £273m in player sales this summer, but further exits are expected, with Jackson now firmly on that list.

Jackson delivered a respectable return in his first Premier League campaign, contributing 19 goals and assists in 37 games. However, inconsistency and Chelsea’s evolving system have left him on the fringes.

Analyst Verdict – John William

FootballPlace analyst John William sees Bayern’s pursuit of Jackson as logical given their striker situation.

“Bayern want depth and mobility up front. Jackson offers pace, pressing and Champions League experience, without the financial burden of a permanent fee. For Chelsea, letting him leave on loan reduces squad congestion but risks losing a player who still has untapped potential.”

John adds that a loan with an option to buy could suit both clubs, but much depends on Chelsea’s financial calculations in the final week of the window.

Key Insights

  • Bayern Munich have agreement with Jackson on personal terms.
  • Negotiations with Chelsea ongoing over loan structure.
  • Jackson scored 13 goals and registered 6 assists in 2024/25.
  • Chelsea favour Delap and João Pedro as striker options.
  • Loan with buy option seen as most likely solution.

What’s Next

Talks between Bayern and Chelsea will continue this week, with both sides hopeful of finding common ground on the financial package. If successful, Jackson could be unveiled in Munich before the deadline — giving Bayern a fresh attacking option.

Chelsea, meanwhile, will continue to explore further exits to streamline Maresca’s squad. Jackson’s departure would mark yet another high-profile out as the club continues its historic summer overhaul.

Would Chelsea regret letting Nicolas Jackson go — or is Bayern the perfect place for him to rediscover form?

I think Chelsea have said only sales? But maybe for Jackson is it different because he was the last one that has been put on the transfer from all the others. if im not mistaken.
