Roma are prepared to listen to offers for midfielder Manu Koné this summer, with Manchester United, Chelsea and Arsenal all monitoring the France international.

The Serie A club are understood to value the 25-year-old at around €50 million as they look to raise funds before the transfer window closes.

While head coach Gian Piero Gasperini would prefer to keep Koné, Roma are aware that the sale of a key player may be necessary to balance their spending.

Roma set €50m asking price

According to reports in Italy, Koné is one of the leading candidates to leave the Stadio Olimpico if a suitable offer arrives.

Roma have already strengthened their squad with the imminent arrival of Santiago Castro from Bologna in a deal worth around €35 million, but further business could depend on player sales.

Gasperini reportedly considers Koné an important part of his squad, having also resisted interest in the midfielder last summer.

However, Roma's hierarchy have now placed a valuation of approximately €50 million on the former Borussia Mönchengladbach star.

Manchester United remain keen

Manchester United are said to be one of the clubs keeping a close eye on Koné's situation.

Despite already signing Andrey Santos and Youri Tielemans this summer, the Red Devils are still looking to add a powerful central midfielder after failing to make progress in a move for Real Madrid's Eduardo Camavinga.

Koné is viewed as a player who fits that profile, with United continuing to assess the market before making a decision.

Chelsea and Arsenal have made enquiries

Chelsea and Arsenal are also credited with interest after reportedly contacting Koné's representatives earlier this summer to establish whether a deal could be possible.

Paris Saint-Germain have also been linked with the midfielder in France, although there has been no indication of formal negotiations.

Meanwhile, Inter Milan are no longer pursuing Koné after cooling their long-standing interest, with the Nerazzurri focusing on alternative targets.

What this means

Roma are not actively pushing Manu Koné out of the club, but they are willing to consider offers around €50 million if it allows them to continue strengthening Gasperini's squad. Manchester United currently appear to be the most serious Premier League contenders, although Chelsea and Arsenal remain attentive to the situation.

Key points

  • Roma value Manu Koné at around €50 million.
  • Manchester United remain interested in signing the midfielder.
  • Chelsea and Arsenal have previously made enquiries.
  • PSG have also been linked with the France international.
  • Inter Milan are no longer pursuing a deal.

What's next?

Roma will wait to see whether any club matches their valuation before deciding Koné's future, while Manchester United continue to assess midfield options ahead of the transfer deadline.
