Arsenal have reportedly been offered the opportunity to sign Julián Álvarez this summer as Atlético Madrid attempt to prevent the Argentine from securing his preferred move to Barcelona.

The striker has emerged as one of the biggest names in the transfer market after making it clear he is open to leaving Atlético. However, while the player appears determined to join Barcelona, his current club are doing everything possible to stop that scenario from becoming reality.

According to Sport, Atlético have even explored alternative destinations for the 26-year-old, including an approach to Arsenal.
