Brighton open advanced negotiations for Igor Julio transfer

Brighton & Hove Albion have reportedly entered advanced negotiations with Cruzeiro EC over the sale of defender Igor Julio.

After weeks of speculation surrounding the Brazilian’s future, discussions have now moved into a formal stage with Cruzeiro submitting an official proposal to Brighton.

That limited involvement has strengthened expectations that Brighton would be willing to sanction a permanent departure this summer.

Cruzeiro’s ability to structure the payments effectively could now determine whether the transfer is completed quickly.

Reports in Brazil suggest the club have been actively working behind the scenes to secure the financial resources necessary to finalise the deal.
