Fulham’s pursuit of Ricardo Pepi is not going away.
Marco Silva’s side have been pushing hard to land the PSV Eindhoven striker throughout the January window, and despite multiple knockbacks, negotiations remain alive heading into the final stretch.
Initial reports from the Netherlands revealed that PSV had already turned down Fulham’s opening proposal in the €30–35m range, with the Eredivisie club making it clear they would not be rushed into a sale. PSV technical staff later confirmed as much publicly.
That stance has not changed — but Fulham’s determination hasn’t either.
Fulham return with improved bid
PSV general manager Marcel Brands confirmed earlier this month that Fulham had offered closer to €25m for Pepi before the striker picked up an injury against Excelsior Rotterdam. While the American is now sidelined, that has not cooled Fulham’s interest.
Dutch outlet Eindhovens Dagblad report that Fulham returned this weekend with an improved bid worth around €32m. That proposal was again rejected, with PSV holding firm on a valuation closer to €40m.
However, crucially, talks did not stop there.
The report claims discussions continued into Sunday night, suggesting both sides believe a compromise could still be reached if Fulham are willing to bridge the remaining gap.
PSV holding their nerve
Journalist Rik Elfrink, reporting for Eindhovens Dagblad, played down suggestions of an imminent breakthrough but confirmed Pepi remains available — at the right price.
According to Elfrink, PSV are standing by their €40m valuation and expect Fulham to return once more if they are serious about completing the deal. The Dutch club are keen to sell, but only on their terms, and appear to be using the media to reinforce their position.
Pepi has scored 11 goals and provided two assists in 22 appearances this season, form which has only strengthened PSV’s resolve.

What’s next for Fulham?
With time running out in the window, Fulham must decide whether to significantly raise their offer or walk away. Continued dialogue suggests optimism on both sides, but PSV are unlikely to blink first.
