Everton seal Grealish return and €50m Balogun deal on Deadline Day

Everton are set for a huge Deadline Day after reaching agreements to sign both Jack Grealish and Folarin Balogun, according to Fabrizio Romano.

Grealish will return to Goodison Park for another season-long loan from Manchester City after giving his approval to the move on Monday evening.

Everton are also bringing United States striker Balogun back to England in a permanent deal from AS Monaco worth €45million plus €5m in potential bonuses.

Grealish's future at Manchester City has been uncertain throughout the summer after falling out of the club's long-term plans under Enzo Maresca.

Everton have been working to bring the winger back to Merseyside after his loan spell at Goodison Park last season.

The 30-year-old has now given the green light for another temporary move.

Grealish registered two goals and six assists in 22 appearances for Everton during his previous spell and will now spend another campaign working under David Moyes.

The England international's return gives Everton another established creative option without requiring the club to negotiate a permanent transfer.

Grealish will not be Everton's only major Deadline Day arrival.

Romano reports that the Toffees have also agreed to sign Balogun permanently from Monaco.

Everton will pay €45m upfront with another €5m available through bonuses, potentially taking the overall package to €50m.

Balogun is expected to sign a four-year contract containing an option for an additional season.

The 25-year-old will undergo his medical on Tuesday before completing the remaining formalities and being officially presented as an Everton player.

His arrival represents a major investment in Everton's attack and brings the former Arsenal striker back to English football following his spell in Ligue 1.

Balogun became one of the most discussed players at the 2026 World Cup following a controversial disciplinary situation involving the United States.

The striker was initially shown a red card against Bosnia and Herzegovina, which would have ruled him out of the knockout match against Belgium.

According to the supplied report, following contact involving Donald Trump, FIFA under Gianni Infantino subsequently overturned the red card, allowing Balogun to feature against Belgium. The decision generated considerable criticism before the United States were ultimately eliminated by the Belgians.

Attention will now return to club football as Balogun prepares for his Premier League comeback.

Everton's double move for Balogun and Grealish would provide Moyes with two significant attacking reinforcements as the club completes its summer business.

Balogun is expected to complete his medical and sign his contract on Tuesday before Everton officially announce his arrival.

Grealish's second loan spell also needs to be formally completed, leaving Everton on course to add two experienced attacking players in a major Deadline Day double deal.
