Emersonn has wasted little time establishing himself at Ipswich Town, with the Brazilian striker scoring twice after starting all four of their opening Premier League matches.
The 22-year-old only left Brazilian football at the beginning of 2025 and previously admitted he did not expect to reach the Premier League so quickly. His first weeks at Ipswich, however, suggest he is already adapting to the level.
Speaking to Brazilian outlet Itatiaia, Emersonn described every Premier League goal as another step towards fulfilling a childhood ambition.

“I’m happy to help Ipswich once again,” Emersonn said. “Every goal I score here is the fulfilment of a childhood dream, which is to be among the best.”
His latest contribution came as Ipswich secured a dramatic 3-2 away victory over Crystal Palace.
Gary O’Neil’s newly promoted side have collected six points from their opening four league matches, and Emersonn believes their encouraging start is built on more than early-season momentum.
“The personality and commitment of our squad are fantastic,” he said. “The results we’ve achieved in these opening rounds aren’t a coincidence.”
Emersonn accepts that survival will be difficult following promotion but issued a confident message to their Premier League opponents.
“We’ll make every game very difficult for our opponents.”
Ipswich supporters already making an impression
Emersonn has also quickly developed a connection with the Ipswich support.
The striker says he felt welcomed immediately and has noticed supporters regularly posting Brazilian flags in messages to him on social media.
“I feel a special affection coming from the fans and that gives me a lot of confidence to keep doing my job,” he explained. “I hope I can repay them properly.”
Despite his impressive individual start, Emersonn is keeping Ipswich’s primary objective simple.
“The Premier League is only just beginning, but we have a very clear objective, which is to stay in the first division,” he said.
Four starts and two goals represent an excellent beginning, but Emersonn knows the bigger challenge will be maintaining that impact as Ipswich fight to preserve their Premier League status.
