West Ham have reportedly submitted a €4million (£3.4m) offer for Kongsvinger winger Daniel Job as Nuno Espirito Santo looks to strengthen his attacking options.
The Hammers are rebuilding following relegation from the Premier League and have already lost Crysencio Summerville and Mateus Fernandes this summer.
Manor Solomon has arrived, while Arne Engels is set to complete a £22m move from Celtic pending his medical. West Ham are also in talks with Arsenal over Reiss Nelson, but their search for wide players extends beyond the 26-year-old.
West Ham submit Daniel Job offer
According to Norwegian outlet SportExpressen, West Ham have made a €4m bid for Job following his impressive season with Kongsvinger.
The 20-year-old Nigerian has produced seven goals and eight assists in 16 league appearances, giving him 15 direct goal contributions.
His performances have now attracted West Ham as they look to add both quality and depth to their attack.
Job would represent a different type of investment to Nelson. The Arsenal winger is reportedly available for around £3m, while West Ham's opening proposal for the younger Kongsvinger attacker is already worth approximately £3.4m.
Nuno wants signings who improve West Ham
Nuno has made clear that West Ham still need additions but does not want the club to rush its recruitment.
“Who comes must bring us something different and improve us,” the Hammers boss said.
Job's rapid development in Norway has certainly attracted praise at Kongsvinger.
Head coach Johan Wennberg previously backed him to become an important player before later saying he had “hardly seen him lose the ball” since arriving.
Sporting director Espen Nystuen has been similarly enthusiastic, describing Job as a “diamond” the club hoped to develop further.
West Ham's reported offer suggests they are now prepared to invest in that potential while simultaneously pursuing the more experienced Nelson.
