Liverpool winger Bradley Barcola has admitted he is still adapting to English football and Andoni Iraola's methods following his €145 million summer transfer from Paris Saint-Germain.

The France international endured a difficult start at Anfield, failing to register a goal or assist in his first six appearances.

However, a Champions League hat-trick against LASK and an assist against Brentford have provided encouraging signs that the 24-year-old is beginning to find his rhythm.

Barcola reveals major difference between Liverpool and PSG

Barcola joined Liverpool on 31 August after spending three seasons at PSG, where he worked under Luis Enrique.

Speaking to French television programme Téléfoot, in comments relayed by L'Équipe, the winger explained how different his new surroundings have been.

"I'm trying to adapt because it's really different from PSG. It's going well. I've met my teammates, there's a very good coach too, who has some good ideas," Barcola said.

The Frenchman also offered an interesting assessment of the tactical demands in England compared with those he experienced in Paris.

"The Premier League? It's different, I find it less tactical!"

Barcola explained that Enrique frequently required him to change positions during matches, whereas his responsibilities under Iraola are different.

"It's true that with the previous coach (Enrique), I had to come on, go out wide… Now, it's very different."

Liverpool hopeful hat-trick signals turning point

Barcola's adaptation has been complicated by his disrupted summer preparations.

He represented France at the World Cup before returning to PSG, where his future remained uncertain throughout the transfer window.

Liverpool eventually completed his signing shortly before the deadline, leaving him without a full pre-season under Iraola.

That lack of preparation may help explain his initial struggles, although expectations remain high following such a substantial transfer fee.

His recent performances suggest progress.

After six matches without a direct goal contribution, Barcola scored three times in Liverpool's 6-3 Champions League victory over LASK.

He also registered an assist in the win against Brentford, offering further evidence that his confidence is growing.
