Ipswich Town face €30m demand for Sassuolo winger Armand Laurienté

Ipswich Town have stepped up their interest in Sassuolo winger Armand Laurienté, but the Serie A club are determined to hold out for a significant transfer fee.

According to Gianluigi Longari and Il Resto del Carlino, the newly-promoted Premier League side have made enquiries about the 27-year-old as Gary O'Neil looks to strengthen his attacking options.

However, Sassuolo have made it clear they will not entertain offers below their valuation.

The report states Ipswich are "strong" on Laurienté and have already made initial enquiries over a potential transfer.

The versatile French winger remains one of the club's leading attacking targets after another impressive campaign in Serie A.

No formal bid has been submitted yet, but Ipswich's interest is described as genuine.

Sassuolo are under no pressure to sell Laurienté this summer.

According to Il Resto del Carlino, the Italian club will reject any offers below €25-30 million following the winger's contract extension earlier this year.

Laurienté is now tied to the club until 2029, strengthening Sassuolo's negotiating position.

The winger enjoyed his most productive Serie A season in 2025/26, scoring seven goals and providing nine assists.

Laurienté came close to joining Sunderland last summer in a deal worth around €20 million.

The winger had travelled to complete his medical before the transfer broke down after changes to the financial terms.

Following another strong season and his new long-term contract, Sassuolo now value the Frenchman significantly higher than they did 12 months ago.

Ipswich Town must decide whether to submit a formal offer that comes close to Sassuolo's valuation. With the Italian club under no financial pressure to sell, negotiations are expected to prove difficult unless the Premier League side significantly increase their investment.
