Zabarnyi PSG transfer 2025 talks have taken a major step forward after the defender informed Bournemouth of his desire to join the French champions before the Club World Cup deadline.
According to L’Équipe, Illia Zabarnyi is eager to complete a summer switch to Paris Saint-Germain, with the Ukrainian defender now pushing his current club to allow the move.
PSG, fresh off their UEFA Champions League triumph, are making centre-back reinforcements a priority ahead of the 2025/26 season. Marquinhos could be on his way out, and even if he stays, his role is expected to be reduced.
PSG Face Club World Cup Transfer Deadline
“Zabarnyi has told Bournemouth he wants the PSG move completed,” reports *L’Équipe*.
PSG are now racing against the clock. To register Zabarnyi for the FIFA Club World Cup, the deal must be finalised by Tuesday’s transfer deadline for that competition.
So far, Bournemouth are standing firm on their €70 million valuation, which PSG have yet to match. Negotiations continue, with time running out.

The Ukrainian is seen as a long-term replacement for Marquinhos. His physicality, distribution, and composure under pressure have caught the eye in the Premier League — and now on PSG’s scouting radar.

What’s Next for Zabarnyi?
PSG are working hard to reach an agreement with Bournemouth in time to register Zabarnyi for the Club World Cup squad submission deadline. If they fall short, a deal could still happen — but the 22-year-old would miss the tournament.
Expect movement in the next 48 hours as both clubs face a tight window to negotiate terms.
Can PSG land Zabarnyi in time for the Club World Cup? Or will Bournemouth play hardball until July?

I always bought this guy in FM when he was playing at Dinamo I think back then. If you see how PSG spends very smart, I think he would be a great fit to them.

They need 11 players at the start of the Premier League... Bournemouth is losing good players.
