Wolves are making a strong move to sign Almeria full-back Marc Pubill, with sources confirming they’re currently ahead of AC Milan in the race.

Pubill, 22, is one of the standout young defenders in Spain. After racking up 36 appearances in the Segunda División last season, he's seen as ready for top-flight football. Wolves want him as a direct replacement for Nelson Semedo, who exited on a free this summer.

Transfer Details: Fee, Clause & Competition

Wolves have already tabled a concrete offer to Pubill’s camp on personal terms, as well as a formal bid to Almeria. Their offer reportedly matches the Spanish club’s €19m valuation, although 20% of any deal will go to Levante due to a sell-on clause.

AC Milan, however, have now entered the fray, with plans to offer around €15m. No formal bid has been launched yet, but Milan have contacted the player’s representatives.

Wolves manager Vítor Pereira is under pressure to rebuild fast — and Pubill is top of the list.

Marc Pubill’s blend of pace, energy, and physicality make him a logical fit for the Premier League. Wolves have lost key pieces across defence and midfield. The rebuild is urgent — and Pubill could be a foundational signing if they act swiftly.
