The situation is now the same as Van Dijk's, with Ornstein stating, "It’s more a case of when rather than if Salah will sign a new deal." This confirmation is sure to bring relief to those at Anfield, who would have been devastated to see the two players leave.

Salah, who is currently enjoying one of the best seasons by any Premier League player in recent history, and Van Dijk, a cornerstone of Liverpool's defense, both have much to offer at the highest level of European football.
