Fulham join five-club race for former Tottenham striker Troy Parrott

Fulham are among five clubs interested in signing Troy Parrott this summer, with the AZ Alkmaar striker attracting widespread attention after two prolific seasons in the Eredivisie.

The Republic of Ireland international is reportedly available for around £25 million, with interest also coming from Ajax, PSV Eindhoven, Real Betis and Como.

Parrott has rebuilt his reputation since leaving Tottenham in 2024, establishing himself as one of the Eredivisie's most consistent goalscorers.

The 24-year-old has scored 51 goals in 95 appearances for AZ Alkmaar, performances that have placed him firmly on Fulham's shortlist as Alvaro Arbeloa looks to strengthen his attacking options.

A move to Craven Cottage would mark Parrott's return to the Premier League after an unsuccessful spell with Tottenham.

Although Parrott left Spurs two years ago, the north London club could still benefit financially from his next transfer.

Tottenham inserted a 20 per cent sell-on clause into the deal that took the striker to AZ Alkmaar, meaning they stand to receive a significant share of any future transfer fee.

Parrott made only four senior appearances for Spurs before spending much of his time at the club on loan across five separate spells.

Fulham are expected to face strong competition for the forward's signature.

Dutch giants Ajax and PSV Eindhoven are both monitoring Parrott, while Real Betis and ambitious Serie A side Como have also expressed interest.

The striker has also become a key player for the Republic of Ireland, playing a leading role in their impressive World Cup qualifying campaign despite narrowly missing out on a place at the 2026 tournament.

Interest in Parrott is expected to intensify over the coming weeks as clubs weigh up formal offers. Fulham face stiff competition from across Europe, while AZ Alkmaar are expected to demand close to their £25 million valuation before considering a sale.
