Tottenham Hotspur defender Radu Dragusin has been named among a group of footballers who are reported to have financially assisted Nicolo Fagioli in paying off gambling debts — but he is not under investigation, according to Italian outlet Il Messaggero.
The report states that Dragusin is one of several players who loaned money to Fagioli, who is currently serving a suspension due to his involvement in illegal betting activity. Authorities in Milan are now taking over the case from Turin prosecutors, with the focus shifting toward recovering funds and penalizing the leaders of the betting operation.

Dragusin named among players who offered loans
Documents emerging from the investigation include a list of professional footballers and athletes connected to the scandal, either directly or indirectly. While the spotlight remains on high-profile names such as Nicolo Fagioli and Sandro Tonali, the inquiry also involves 20 others who are being investigated further.
In contrast, Radu Dragusin, alongside players like Federico Gatti and Stefano Turati, is reported to have loaned money to Fagioli but is not currently under investigation.

Payments linked to Milanese jewelry shop
The loan payments are said to have been funneled through a jewelry shop in Milan named Elysium, which has become central to the broader investigation. For example, Federico Gatti reportedly lent €40,000 to Fagioli. However, the exact amount Dragusin contributed has not been disclosed.
The gesture appears to have been a personal loan to assist a teammate or friend, and there’s no indication of wrongdoing on the part of Dragusin.

Focus remains on central figures in scandal
Italian prosecutors are continuing to pursue those primarily involved in organizing and profiting from the illegal betting network. Fagioli was handed a seven-month suspension in 2023, while Sandro Tonali also received a ban and has since returned to training under strict conditions.
As of now, there is no suggestion that Dragusin participated in gambling activities or was aware of any illegal operations tied to the money he loaned.
