Tottenham’s injury list is gradually easing, but fresh concerns over Djed Spence mean Igor Tudor is still juggling key absences as Spurs prepare for their next Premier League fixtures.
While Micky van de Ven, Pedro Porro and Kevin Danso have recently returned, several first-team players remain sidelined. Here is the latest Tottenham injury update and potential return timeline for each player.
Djed Spence – Calf injury
Djed Spence missed the 2-1 defeat to Fulham with a minor calf issue.
FootballPlace understands the problem is not considered serious, though Spurs are taking a cautious approach. It remains unclear whether he will be available for the home clash against Crystal Palace on 5 March 2026.
Potential return: To be assessed
Lucas Bergvall – Ankle surgery
Lucas Bergvall has been sidelined since January after undergoing ankle surgery following the 2-0 win over Borussia Dortmund.
Initially ruled out for up to three months, the midfielder is progressing well in rehabilitation. Reports in Sweden suggest he is no longer using a protective boot and could push for involvement in late March.
Potential return: April 2026
Mohammed Kudus – Hamstring injury
Mohammed Kudus has been out since early January after sustaining a hamstring injury against Sunderland.
He travelled to Amsterdam to consult a specialist familiar from his Ajax days. No setbacks have been reported, and a return to full training is expected after the March international break.
Potential return: April 2026
Destiny Udogie – Hamstring strain
Udogie suffered a hamstring injury on 7 February against Manchester United. Surgery was not required, but he was ruled out for four to five weeks.
Igor Tudor has taken a measured approach to updates. “It's a weekly basis. When they come, they come. The main important thing is, in time, they are recovering to put them in good condition.”
Potential return: Early April 2026
Dejan Kulusevski – Patella injury
Kulusevski has not featured since the end of last season due to a long-standing knee issue.
Swedish reports indicate he is still some way from returning to the pitch, although training-ground footage shows gym-based rehabilitation work. Tudor, who previously worked with him at Juventus, remains optimistic.
Potential return: Unknown
Wilson Odobert – Knee surgery
Odobert sustained a serious knee injury in February and will undergo surgery.
Tottenham have confirmed he will begin rehabilitation immediately, but he is not expected back this season.
Potential return: Late 2026
Rodrigo Bentancur – Hamstring surgery
Bentancur required surgery after injuring his hamstring in January.
The midfielder was ruled out for approximately three months and is targeting a mid-April return.
Potential return: Mid-April 2026
James Maddison – Knee injury
Maddison has been sidelined since pre-season after suffering a serious knee injury.
Although he has appeared in light training sessions, he is not expected to feature before the end of the current campaign.
Potential return: Summer 2026
What’s Next?
Tottenham face Crystal Palace on 5 March 2026, with Tudor hoping for incremental improvements in squad availability before the international break.
While defensive options are gradually returning, midfield depth remains stretched. Much will depend on how quickly players such as Bergvall, Kudus and Bentancur regain match fitness in April.
Can Spurs steady their season once key names return?
