Tottenham Hotspur are seriously weighing up alternative managerial options as pressure mounts on Ange Postecoglou following another damaging league defeat.
The Australian boss has overseen a turbulent campaign, with Spurs now suffering 17 Premier League losses — a number that has stunned fans and insiders alike given the club’s Champions League ambitions. Despite a Europa League quarter-final still in play, belief is growing that Postecoglou could depart at the end of the season — even if silverware is secured.
Among those reportedly under consideration are Fulham’s Marco SilvaCrystal Palace’s Oliver Glasner, and Bournemouth manager Andoni Iraola, all of whom have impressed with their work at mid-table Premier League clubs.

Silva, Glasner, and Iraola on Tottenham’s Radar
Marco Silva, who has guided Fulham with consistency since 2021, is considered one of the front-runners. The Portuguese manager has previously turned down big-money approaches from elsewhere, including the Saudi Pro League, but his reported £6 million release clause could open the door if Spurs make a move. Fulham will do their best to keep him, but Tottenham’s stature and top-six ambitions may be hard to resist.

Oliver Glasner is also admired by Spurs decision-makers. The Crystal Palace boss has caught attention not just in England but abroad as well, with RB Leipzig and Bayern Munich showing past interest. Glasner’s tactical flexibility and sharp defensive structure have earned plaudits in a relatively short time at Selhurst Park.

Meanwhile, Andoni Iraola continues to impress on the south coast with Bournemouth. Although their form has dipped slightly in recent weeks, the Spaniard’s overall impact has been significant. The Cherries are reportedly ready to back him strongly in the transfer market but may face a fight to keep him if Tottenham decide to make a move.

Tottenham’s Season at a Crossroads
Postecoglou admitted last week that he’s aware of the growing uncertainty, saying there’s a “general sentiment” about his future regardless of results. Though he has received backing throughout a season plagued by injuries, the club’s hierarchy could be forced to act amid increasing fan frustration.
Tottenham’s next test comes on Thursday in Germany, where they’ll face Eintracht Frankfurt in the Europa League second leg. A win would send them into the semi-finals and offer a route back into the Champions League — but it may not be enough to secure Postecoglou’s job.

Season Games Wins Draws Losses Win %
2023/24 (All Comps) 47 22 8 17 46.8%

As the season nears its conclusion, the pressure on Postecoglou is intensifying — and Tottenham’s next steps could shape their trajectory for years to come.
