Juventus have made an audacious opening offer to sign Jadon Sancho from Manchester United — and it’s shockingly low.

According to Sky Sport Italia’s Gianluca Di Marzio, Juve tabled a €10m bid plus bonuses to test United’s resolve. The base fee equates to just £8.4m, a dramatic fall from the £73m United paid Borussia Dortmund in 2021.

The Red Devils are now at a crossroads: accept a humiliating loss or hold out for closer to their €25m (£21m) valuation.

Juventus Playing Hardball – United Undecided

“Fresh contact was made today between Juventus and Manchester United for Sancho,” reported Gianluca Di Marzio.

United were hopeful of offloading Sancho permanently this summer after Chelsea backed out of a buy option. But Juventus’ first bid suggests they’re not ready to meet Old Trafford’s demands yet.

Corriere dello Sport previously claimed a €25m fee was agreed — but that now appears premature.

United want his wages off the books and fear this summer is their final chance to cash in before his contract runs down (expires 2026).

Rashford Also on Juventus Radar?

While Juventus pursue Sancho, reports also link them with a second United attacker: Marcus Rashford.

The Sun claim he’s their No. 1 summer target, but TEAMtalk insist Barcelona remain Rashford’s priority. Juve were in talks with his camp back in January but missed out when he joined Aston Villa on loan.

United still want £40m for Rashford — far more than what Juve are offering for Sancho.

This bid from Juventus is embarrassing for United. They’ve spent three years trying to rebuild Sancho’s value, and now might have to let him go for a tenth of the price.

Still, if they want the wages off the books and avoid further drama, they may have no choice but to compromise.

If Juventus want both Sancho and Rashford, though, they’ll need to get serious about the money.

What’s Next?

Juventus are expected to return with an improved offer in the coming days. Manchester United will likely delay final decisions until they’ve explored other exit options. If no deal is struck, United may face the prospect of loaning Sancho out again, just to remove his wages from the books. Meanwhile, expect updates on Marcus Rashford’s future, with Juventus and Barcelona both monitoring the situation closely
