Brighton & Hove Albion are in active talks with AC Milan over the potential sale of Pervis Estupiñán, with super-agent Jorge Mendes pushing to finalise terms before the end of the week.
According to Gazzetta dello Sport, Brighton initially rejected Milan’s €12m offer for the Ecuadorian defender but remain open to negotiation. The Premier League club are reportedly holding out for €23m — a figure higher than what was previously communicated to Mendes earlier this year.
That discrepancy has created an opportunity for Milan to strike a deal at around €15m plus add-ons, as they race to complete the transfer before their pre-season tour in Singapore.
Estupiñán, 27, is said to be keen on the move and has already given the green light for personal terms. AC Milan are hoping to schedule a medical early next week, with the player’s Spanish passport easing registration concerns under Serie A’s non-EU rules.
Why Milan Are Moving Quickly for Estupiñán
AC Milan are eager to wrap up the Estupiñán deal before their Asian tour begins, giving manager Paulo Fonseca a chance to assess him within the squad’s tactical setup. The club sees the Brighton full-back as a direct solution to their need for experience and energy at left-back.
“Estupiñán’s versatility and Champions League pedigree make him the ideal plug-and-play option for Milan’s system.” — Gazzetta dello Sport

Analyst Verdict
Estupiñán’s progressive carries and high work rate would fit seamlessly into Milan’s full-back model. Although not flawless defensively, his ability to stretch play and support in transition is a massive boost for Fonseca, who wants to revitalise Milan’s wide play. At €15m + bonuses, this could be one of the shrewdest left-back signings in Serie A this summer.

Brighton and discounts, this doenst fit in one sentence, however I still believe we should send them 50M for Joao Pedro and another 50M for Caicedo.
