Pedro Porro €25m exit? Inter plot summer move as Spurs weigh sale

Pedro Porro could become one of Tottenham’s most discussed summer assets as Inter Milan weigh up a move for the Spain international amid uncertainty at right wing-back.

Tottenham Hotspur are enduring a turbulent Premier League campaign, sitting 16th and only four points above the relegation zone. Following the departure of Thomas Frank and the appointment of Igor Tudor until the end of the season, attention is already shifting towards potential squad reshaping in the next transfer window.

According to reports in Italy, including L’Interista, Inter have identified Porro as a possible target should Denzel Dumfries leave San Siro this summer.

Porro, 26, has been a regular since joining Spurs permanently from Sporting in January 2023. He has made 139 appearances in all competitions, establishing himself as one of the more consistent performers in an otherwise uneven Tottenham side.

His attacking output from right-back has also helped cement his place in the Spain national team setup. Despite Spurs’ struggles this season, Porro’s individual level has largely remained stable based on recent matches we’ve covered.

Italian reports claim Tottenham would consider offers of no less than €25m. However, market valuations suggest his worth could be significantly higher, especially given his contract runs until 2028.

Inter’s interest is tied closely to the future of Denzel Dumfries. The Dutch wing-back has been first choice but faces an uncertain summer. He reportedly has a €25m release clause and has attracted interest from multiple clubs.

Liverpool explored a move during the winter window, though that deal did not materialise.

Should Dumfries depart, Inter’s management are said to view Porro as a ready-made replacement with Champions League experience and attacking pedigree. His profile fits Inter’s wing-back system, which demands width, stamina and final-third productivity.

However, it remains too early to draw firm conclusions. Tottenham’s internal plans under Tudor and the club’s long-term direction will heavily influence any negotiations.

Inter are also tracking goalkeeper Guglielmo Vicario, with earlier reports suggesting Spurs would seek €25–30m for the Italian stopper. That indicates Tottenham may be open to sales at certain price points if restructuring is required.

Having followed Spurs closely this season, it is clear that defensive balance has been an issue. Selling Porro would remove one of the few players capable of progressing the ball consistently from deep areas. As a result, any deal would likely require a carefully planned replacement strategy rather than a simple financial decision.

Inter’s priority will be clarifying Dumfries’ future before accelerating talks for alternatives. His €25m release clause means movement could happen quickly once the window opens.

For Tottenham, survival and stabilisation under Igor Tudor remain the immediate focus through March and April 2026. Only once their Premier League status is secured will serious outbound negotiations likely begin.

Any formal approach for Porro is expected closer to the summer window, subject to confirmation from both clubs.
