Before kick-off, supporters displayed a banner reading “fans disrespected – Glasner finished”. A section of the crowd also booed the Austrian after full-time, despite the positive result.

The protest followed a 1-1 UEFA Conference League draw with Zrinjski Mostar last Thursday, after which some supporters expressed frustration with Glasner’s comments and team performances.

Glasner denied any disrespect towards fans in his post-match press conference, insisting he had not intended to offend.

He has already confirmed he will leave Crystal Palace at the end of the season, with his contract entering its final months.

Monday’s edition of Kurier described the Wolves win as “balm” for Glasner and his squad, yet questioned whether fan dissatisfaction could accelerate his departure.

Both Heute and Kronen Zeitung interpreted the banner as a strong signal that parts of the fanbase want change before the summer.

From Austria’s perspective, the situation is being viewed less as a brief disagreement and more as a visible fracture between manager and supporters.

Despite the unrest, Palace sit 13th in the Premier League table, 10 points above the relegation zone. There is no official suggestion of an immediate managerial change.

However, it remains subject to confirmation whether tensions will ease if results stabilise over the coming weeks.

Crystal Palace now turn attention to maintaining league stability as the season enters its final stretch. Glasner’s relationship with sections of the fanbase will likely remain under scrutiny until his departure. Much will depend on whether results improve and whether performances rebuild confidence before the campaign concludes.
