Nottingham Forest enquire over Lorenzo Lucca as Napoli minutes dry up

Nottingham Forest have made a fresh enquiry for Napoli forward Lorenzo Lucca, with the Premier League club requesting information on a possible move in the last few hours, according to Italian transfer specialist Gianluca Di Marzio.

The 25-year-old striker has endured a frustrating campaign in Italy following his move to Napoli, and his limited involvement has now placed his future firmly on the agenda as the January window develops.

Lucca joined Napoli from Udinese on a loan deal with an obligation to buy, but opportunities have been scarce. He has played just 386 minutes in Serie A, with his last league start coming back in October.

The final decision may come down to Lucca himself. There remains a chance he opts to stay and fight for his place under Antonio Conte, but a lack of minutes suggests alternatives are being seriously considered.
