Leeds United are on the verge of completing a major attacking signing, with AC Milan’s Noah Okafor set to join Daniel Farke’s squad in a deal worth more than €20m, according to Fabrizio Romano.
The Premier League side have tabled a bid that includes a contract until June 2029, with the option of extending it by a further year. The final decision now rests with the 25-year-old forward, but optimism is high at Elland Road as Farke has been heavily pushing for his arrival.
Okafor, who joined Milan from RB Salzburg in 2023, has been admired for his pace, direct running and ability to play across the front line. Leeds see him as a high-impact addition as they prepare for life back in the Premier League, where depth in attack is crucial.
Why Leeds Want Okafor
Farke has made no secret of his desire to strengthen the forward line this summer. With Dominic Calvert-Lewin already arriving on a free, Okafor would add versatility and Champions League experience. His ability to operate centrally or from wide positions fits perfectly with Farke’s tactical blueprint.
Deal Details
Leeds’ proposal has now reached Milan, with sources indicating that all key financial aspects have been agreed between the two clubs. The contract package on the table shows just how serious Daniel Farke and the Leeds board are about making Okafor a cornerstone of their Premier League project.
“Leeds United have submitted a €20m+ proposal for Noah Okafor. Contract until June 2029, with option until 2030. Final green light is up to the player.” — Transfer reports
The emphasis now falls on the player’s decision. Okafor is weighing up the chance of regular first-team football in England against the security of staying at a Champions League-level club like Milan. Leeds believe the long-term contract shows their commitment and are hopeful that Farke’s persistence in personal talks will convince him to choose Elland Road.
Noah Okafor 2024/25 Season Stats (AC Milan)
Stat (2024/25) | Okafor |
---|---|
Appearances | 21 |
Goals | 1 |
Assists | 2 |
Shots on Target % | 54% |
Okafor featured 21 times for Milan last season, scoring 1 goals and providing 2 assists. While not always first choice at San Siro, his efficiency in front of goal and ability to stretch defences underline why Leeds have made him a priority target.
Analyst Verdict
From reviewing his Milan campaign, Okafor has the attributes to succeed in England: pace, physicality, and direct movement. Leeds are banking on giving him a consistent role, something he lacked in Italy.
At over €20m, this represents a significant investment — but one that could pay off if Okafor translates his Serie A productivity to Elland Road. With Calvert-Lewin’s injury record, Okafor’s versatility could prove vital.

What’s Next
Leeds are waiting for Okafor’s response after agreeing terms with Milan. If the Swiss international gives the green light, he will travel for a medical and complete his move to Elland Road this week.

Would Noah Okafor be the perfect signing to complement Calvert-Lewin in Leeds’ attack — or is €20m too much of a gamble?

F those stats, don’t say anything to me. I’ve seen him play for Salzburg if we could get him in that same form back he will be a good asset for us.
