Michael Kayode’s Brentford future is back under the microscope after his entourage suggested the defender could soon take “another step” in his career.
The 21-year-old Italian has been a revelation this season, becoming a key figure for the Bees under Keith Andrews. His consistent performances have turned heads across England — and, if his agent’s comments are anything to go by, this may only be the beginning.
According to reports from Italy, Andrea Ritorni of Vigo Global — part of Kayode’s representation — told Tuttomercatoweb that the right-back’s development could lead to a bigger move in the near future. It’s a familiar theme for Brentford, whose recruitment model often sees top young talents progress to elite clubs after establishing themselves in West London.
With Brentford having spent around €17.5 million to sign Kayode permanently from Fiorentina in the summer, they would expect any future sale to command a significantly higher fee. Could the Bees face another battle to keep hold of their latest breakout star?
Entourage hint at Michael Kayode’s next career step
“I see him taking another step towards a top club. Not that Brentford isn’t one, but I see him even higher. He’s now thrilled with the standing he’s enjoying in the English scene. He has a world ahead of him if he continues like this.” — Andrea Ritorni, Tuttomercatoweb
Ritorni also praised Kayode’s growing maturity and physical condition:
“He’s doing great and is having an extraordinary run. He’s now finding his best shape and cleaning up his ball control.”
Those close to the player say he’s settled in London life and thriving under Andrews, who has started him in every Premier League match so far this campaign.
Kayode’s rise at Brentford
Having struggled with fitness issues last season, Kayode has now found the rhythm and confidence that made him such a prospect at Fiorentina. His pace, energy and defensive focus have made him one of the league’s most consistent young full-backs.

Analyst verdict – what comes next?
In my view, Kayode embodies everything Brentford look for: athleticism, intelligence, and resale potential. His rapid adaptation to English football has surprised even seasoned observers, and you can see why top clubs are already monitoring him.
John William, FootballPlace analyst, adds:
“Brentford’s model works because they sell at the peak moment. If Kayode maintains this form into winter, interest from Italy or the top six wouldn’t be a shock. The key will be whether Andrews can convince him that another season as a starter in London is better than being a rotation player elsewhere.”

What’s next for Brentford and Kayode?
Brentford face West Ham away on 20 October before a tough home game against Liverpool. Another strong display could further raise Kayode’s profile — and the noise around his long-term future.
For now, both player and club appear content, but as history shows with the Bees, when Europe’s elite come calling, tough decisions often follow.
👉 Should Brentford cash in on Michael Kayode if a top-six offer arrives in January, or hold firm for another year of growth?

He has developed well, but its too early to say he's ready for a top club.. I mean his trow ins are disgusting good and dangerous but that fits the playing style of Brentford. Im not sure if he's ready for a top club? I dont see him starting for the top "6"
