“Something important could come” – Agent hints at future move for Brentford’s Kayode

Michael Kayode’s rise at Brentford is beginning to turn heads across Europe. The Italian defender produced another impressive performance in Brentford’s 3-2 victory over Liverpool, earning the Man of the Match award and praise from his teammates for a calm dressing-room speech that reflected how comfortable he feels in England.

Kayode, 21, originally joined Brentford on loan from Fiorentina in January before completing a permanent move in the summer. Since then, he has become one of Keith Andrews’s most consistent performers — combining athleticism, defensive focus and attacking intelligence down the right flank.

Italian clubs are already watching closely. Kayode had shown promise with Fiorentina during the 2023/24 season, and his adaptation to English football has added further polish to his reputation.

Brentford play Grimsby today in the Carabao Cup before visiting Crystal Palace on 1 November 2025, and Kayode is expected to retain his place at right-back. A continuation of his current form could accelerate interest from Italy and potentially open discussions ahead of the January window.
