Michael Kayode’s rise at Brentford is beginning to turn heads across Europe. The Italian defender produced another impressive performance in Brentford’s 3-2 victory over Liverpool, earning the Man of the Match award and praise from his teammates for a calm dressing-room speech that reflected how comfortable he feels in England.

Kayode, 21, originally joined Brentford on loan from Fiorentina in January before completing a permanent move in the summer. Since then, he has become one of Keith Andrews’s most consistent performers — combining athleticism, defensive focus and attacking intelligence down the right flank.

As his profile continues to grow, his agent Claudio Vigorelli has now spoken publicly about the defender’s future, hinting that his progress could attract major interest in the months ahead. Speaking to Tuttomercatoweb, Vigorelli said it was “inevitable” that something significant would arise if Kayode continues performing at this level.

He explained that Brentford provided the perfect opportunity when his client needed regular football, describing the Premier League as an ideal environment for development. The move, he added, has been positive for all parties, with Brentford quick to make the transfer permanent after an excellent six-month loan spell.

The agent also discussed Kayode’s trademark long-throws — an unusual strength for a full-back — noting that while the player first showed that ability in Florence, he has refined the technique in England, making it another dangerous weapon in his game.

Italian clubs are already watching closely. Kayode had shown promise with Fiorentina during the 2023/24 season, and his adaptation to English football has added further polish to his reputation.

The data underlines Kayode’s consistency. His passing accuracy of 86% and 1.4 key passes per match show his composure under pressure, while 4.3 recoveries per game highlight his defensive work rate. It’s the kind of balance that has allowed him to thrive in the Premier League’s physical and tactical environment.

Our View

In our view, Kayode’s development at Brentford demonstrates the effectiveness of the club’s recruitment model. The Italian has adapted quickly to the pace and physicality of English football while maintaining the technical quality that marked him out in Serie A. He’s already become one of Brentford’s most dependable players, showing leadership and maturity beyond his age.

It’s easy to see why his agent believes interest will grow. Kayode combines speed, intelligence and resilience — qualities that fit perfectly into Keith Andrews’s system. If he maintains his current level, Brentford may soon have another major sale on their hands.

Analyst Verdict

FootballPlace analyst Liam Rowe writes:
I think Kayode’s trajectory follows the pattern of Brentford’s smartest signings — undervalued talent given the right conditions to flourish. His balance between risk-taking and discipline stands out for a 21-year-old.

We believe that while transfer talk will increase, Brentford are unlikely to sell quickly. Andrews views Kayode as essential to the team’s structure and the club’s long-term project. Any move would likely require a substantial offer, potentially double his current €20m valuation, according to Transfermarkt.com.

Key Insights

  • Michael Kayode’s agent says transfer interest is “inevitable” if form continues.
  • The 21-year-old was Man of the Match in Brentford’s 3-2 win over Liverpool.
  • Joined permanently from Fiorentina in summer 2025 after six-month loan.
  • Strong 2025/26 numbers: 86% pass accuracy, 1.4 key passes per game, 4.3 recoveries.
  • Valued at around €20m but likely to rise if performances sustain.

What’s Next

Brentford play Grimsby today in the Carabao Cup before visiting Crystal Palace on 1 November 2025, and Kayode is expected to retain his place at right-back. A continuation of his current form could accelerate interest from Italy and potentially open discussions ahead of the January window.

For now, though, both player and club appear content. Brentford’s track record suggests they’ll hold firm unless a truly irresistible offer lands on the table.

I really dispose these kind of agents. Let him focus on Brentford, obviously if he continues like this there will be clubs that want him but why speak about it so early in the season.
