Fulham head coach Marco Silva has encouraged supporters to enjoy a special moment in Harry Wilson’s career, insisting the winger is in a spell where “everything he touches turns to magic”.

Wilson was once again the match-winner on Wednesday night, scoring a late goal to secure a 2-1 victory over 10-man Chelsea in a heated west London derby at Craven Cottage.

A talisman in full flow

The Welsh international’s form has surged dramatically in recent weeks. After managing just one goal in his first eight Premier League appearances this season, Wilson has now produced six goals and four assists in his last 12 matches.

That run has transformed the 28-year-old from an impact substitute into one of Fulham’s most decisive players. Since the start of November, only Erling Haaland has registered more goal contributions in the Premier League than the former Liverpool winger.

Silva: “Fans should enjoy it”

Speaking after the derby win, Silva could not hide his admiration for Wilson’s current level.

“He’s been very good,” Silva said. “Right now, everything that he touches turns to something magic.

“Fans should just try to enjoy it.”

Silva revealed that the foundations for this purple patch were laid earlier in the campaign, with conversations during pre-season focusing on composure and decision-making.

“In pre-season we had some conversations,” he added. “I was feeling that he could be more calm and have better decision-making in some moments.

“The numbers are top. It’s the best moment of his career, definitely.”

More than just numbers

While Wilson’s output has caught the eye, Silva was keen to stress that his influence extends beyond goals and assists.

“He’s enjoying it, but at the same time he’s working very hard,” the Fulham boss continued.
“The numbers are incredible, but it’s not just about the numbers. This season he’s been incredible.

“He’s humble, and a hard worker always.”

Fulham momentum building

Wilson’s winner capped another impressive night for Fulham, who continue to punch above expectations in the Premier League. His ability to deliver in decisive moments has become central to Silva’s side, particularly in tight derby encounters like this one.

With confidence high and form peaking, Wilson now looks every bit the leader Fulham need as the season gathers pace.
