Manchester United plan £190m Anderson and Tonali transfer swoop

Manchester United are preparing for a major midfield overhaul this summer, with Elliot Anderson and Sandro Tonali emerging as two of their most ambitious targets.

Reports suggest the club could pursue a combined deal worth around £190 million as they look to reshape the core of their squad ahead of the 2026/27 season. Regardless of who takes charge permanently, strengthening midfield appears to be the clear priority at Old Trafford.

According to multiple reports, Nottingham Forest’s Elliot Anderson is viewed as a key piece in United’s long-term plans, with the club keen to build their next phase around the England international.

Sandro Tonali, meanwhile, is also described as a high-priority target. The Newcastle United midfielder is believed to be open to a move, particularly if his current club fail to secure European football this season.
