Manchester United will look to make it three Premier League wins in a row when they host Brighton & Hove Albion at Old Trafford on Saturday evening (5.30pm kick-off).

Following a dramatic 2–1 victory at Anfield last time out, in which Harry Maguire netted a late winner after goals from Bryan Mbeumo and Cody Gakpo, Ruben Amorim’s side appear to be turning a corner after an inconsistent start to the season.

United currently sit ninth in the Premier League table with 13 points from eight games, but perhaps more encouraging for the manager is the near-clean bill of health within his squad.

Here’s the latest update on Lisandro Martínez, Noussair Mazraoui and Ayden Heaven ahead of the weekend clash.

Lisandro Martínez

Injury: Knee (ACL)
Status: In recovery
Possible return date: November

Martínez remains the only player unavailable for selection, as he continues his recovery from an anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) injury sustained in February.

The Argentine underwent successful surgery and has recently returned to light training on grass, marking a key step in his rehabilitation. While a specific comeback date has not been set, he is expected to return sometime in November, provided there are no setbacks.

Amorim provided a brief update earlier this week:

“Licha is not available. Near, but just returning.” — Ruben Amorim

The defender’s leadership and passing from the back have been sorely missed, and his imminent return will provide a welcome boost to United’s defensive stability.

Noussair Mazraoui

Injury: Minor issue (unspecified)
Status: Available
Possible return date: vs Brighton (H), 25 Oct – 5.30pm

After missing several weeks of action, Mazraoui is now close to full fitness. The Moroccan right-back was included in his national team’s squad during the recent international break, but did not feature against Congo or Bahrain as a precaution.

He returned to the United bench for the win over Liverpool, suggesting his return is imminent. Amorim is expected to name him in the matchday squad again for the visit of Brighton, where he could feature depending on match rhythm and fitness levels.

Ayden Heaven

Injury: Knock
Status: Available
Possible return date: vs Brighton (H), 25 Oct – 5.30pm

Defender Ayden Heaven also looks set to be available for selection after recovering from a minor knock sustained while on duty with England’s Under-20s.

He was a doubt for the Liverpool game but made the bench at Anfield, showing no lingering effects of the injury. Like Mazraoui, Heaven did not feature but is expected to be among the substitutes again at the weekend.

Our View: Amorim’s injury fortune could spark consistency

In our view, Manchester United’s improving fitness situation comes at the perfect time. With Martínez edging closer to full recovery and Mazraoui returning to contention, Amorim now has the depth needed to sustain a winning run and stabilise United’s season.

The Portuguese coach’s tactical structure has begun to show promise in recent weeks, and a near-fully fit squad should give him the tools to continue United’s climb up the table.

What’s Next

Manchester United host Brighton at Old Trafford on Saturday, 25 October (5.30pm BST). Victory would make it three consecutive league wins for the first time under Ruben Amorim and could move the Reds closer to the European qualification spots.

So thats it? Compared to City, Arsenal and Chelsea they've no "list" of injury players...
