Juventus eye rapid Guido Rodríguez deal as West Ham exit looms

Italian outlet Tuttosport claims the Argentina international would be keen on a switch to Turin, viewing Juventus as the most attractive option on the table despite interest elsewhere. With the Bianconeri urgently searching for midfield reinforcements, Rodríguez has emerged as a realistic and cost-effective solution.

Rodríguez’s name resurfaced this week after Gazzetta dello Sport revealed Juventus had added the West Ham player to their shortlist. The midfielder’s difficult adaptation to life in London has played a role in that interest, with Juventus seeing him as a short-term fix rather than a marquee signing.

Sandro Tonali is still described internally as a “dream” target, but Rodríguez is viewed as a more attainable option who can immediately bolster depth and experience in midfield.

According to Tuttosport, Rodríguez would “jump at the chance” to join Juventus, and there is growing belief in Turin that personal terms would not present any major obstacles.

While agreement with the player is expected to be straightforward, negotiations with West Ham United could prove more delicate. That said, the Italian newspaper insists the transfer fee “wouldn’t exceed €10m”, a figure Juventus consider acceptable.

If West Ham refrain from pushing beyond that valuation, the deal is described as potentially “lightning-fast”, with Juventus keen to move decisively once talks formally begin.

Juventus have considered Rodríguez in the past without fully committing, but circumstances have changed. Tuttosportreports that the midfielder’s agents have actively offered him to the Italian giants, aware of their need for a low-cost, experienced midfield option.

At 31, Rodríguez fits the profile Juventus are targeting for January: affordable, available, and capable of contributing immediately without a long-term financial burden.
