Joao Pedro PSG Club World Cup 2025 drama exploded after Chelsea’s 3-0 victory over Paris Saint-Germain, with the final whistle sparking a chaotic brawl that saw Luis Enrique grab Pedro by the neck during post-match tensions.

Pedro, who scored in the final alongside a Cole Palmer brace, didn’t hold back in his assessment:

“They don’t know how to lose,” he told SporTV. “It’s part of the game… now it’s time to celebrate.”

Enrique’s Red Mist: What Really Happened?

As Chelsea players began celebrating their dominant win, tensions boiled over near the halfway line. Pedro claims he stepped in to protect teammate Andrey Santos, who was being surrounded by PSG players.

The confrontation escalated when Luis Enrique appeared to raise his hands at Pedro, briefly grabbing him around the neck. The Brazilian went to ground, and the melee quickly involved players and staff from both clubs.

Enrique later claimed he was “trying to calm things down” — but that version isn't flying with many observers, especially given the video footage.

Pedro: “They Lost Their Heads”

Pedro later reflected on the incident with visible frustration:

“Everyone wants to win the game and, in the end, I think they lost their heads. This has happened. Now we enjoy it — we won the tournament. I don’t want to talk too much about them… football is this.”

Could Luis Enrique Be Banned?

While red cards in the Club World Cup don’t carry over into domestic or European competitions, coaching sanctions doif the incident is reported by the FIFA match coordinator.

According to Mundo Deportivo, Luis Enrique could face a three-match FIFA suspension depending on the official report submitted post-match.

Analyst Verdict

This was a brilliant Chelsea performance marred by needless drama. PSG’s emotional collapse post-defeat could haunt Enrique, especially if FIFA acts. For Pedro, it’s a statement win — and a reminder that he’s here to make headlines on and off the pitch.

Donna should get a ban because he was the one who slapped Joao - but the ref was bad. He should have given more cards, yes Caicedo should have received his 2e yellow but a lot of times he didnt whistle when he had to in the second half.
