Jack Grealish Manchester City exit 2025 talks have ramped up, with Pep Guardiola’s side now open to offloading the £100m star before pre-season begins.

The England international, who earns £300,000-a-week, was left out of City’s Club World Cup squad and now faces an uncertain future. Despite playing a key role in the treble-winning campaign, Grealish struggled for consistency last season — and sources suggest both loan and permanent exits are being explored.

Man City Ready to Cut Ties

After three underwhelming years since his record-breaking move from Aston Villa, City are open to letting Grealish leave — with the aim of completing a deal before their pre-season tour.

“City know they won’t recoup the full £100m, but moving on may be best for both sides now.” — Club Insider

City sources told GIVEMESPORT that no current offer matches their valuation, but work is underway behind the scenes to find an exit solution.

Napoli and Milan Watching Closely

Italian giants Napoli and AC Milan have shown interest, but both clubs are exploring other options too. Grealish is said to favour a move to a Champions League-qualified club, hoping to revive his England career ahead of the 2026 World Cup.

His high wage demands remain a barrier, and any move will likely depend on how flexible both City and Grealish are on terms.

Is There Still a Role for Grealish at City?

The winger made just 16 Premier League appearances last season and saw Jeremy Doku rise above him in Guardiola’s pecking order. With Phil Foden also excelling in a wider role, City now seem ready to reshape their attack.

Whether it’s a loan or sale, Grealish needs regular football. He turns 30 before the next World Cup — and missing out on Tuchel’s England squad would be a major blow.

Key Insights:

  • Grealish left out of Club World Cup squad
  • City open to both loan and permanent move
  • Napoli and Milan monitoring his situation
  • England future at risk if he stays benched
  • £300k-a-week wage complicates negotiations

Analyst Verdict

Grealish’s time at Man City may be up — not for lack of talent, but due to a squad evolving without him. With European clubs circling, his next move must be about minutes, not money.

What’s Next?

City want movement before pre-season. If Napoli or Milan table the right offer — and Grealish lowers demands — a deal could progress quickly.

Is it time for Jack Grealish to leave Manchester City? Or does he still have something to prove at the Etihad?
