Ismaïla Sarr is reportedly pushing hard to leave Crystal Palace and join Galatasaray, with the Senegal international refusing to train as negotiations continue between the two clubs.

Galatasaray have already offered €40million for the 28-year-old, but Crystal Palace are demanding considerably more before allowing one of their key attackers to leave.

According to reports from Turkey, Palace value Sarr at around €55-60m, leaving the clubs approximately €10m apart depending on the structure of a potential agreement.

Sarr pushing for Galatasaray transfer

Sarr's desire to leave Selhurst Park has become increasingly clear.

The winger reportedly refused to train for two days last week and was subsequently left out of Palace's squad for their 2-0 Premier League defeat against Everton.

Journalist Ali Naci Küçük then reported that Sarr again failed to train on Monday.

The Senegal international wants to join Galatasaray and is attempting to convince Palace to cooperate with his departure before the transfer window closes.

Galatasaray make €40m offer

Galatasaray are serious about completing the signing.

The Turkish champions have reportedly put €40m on the table, but that remains below Palace's valuation.

Journalist Kaya Temel claims Palace are looking for €55-60m to sanction the transfer, while Galatasaray are trying to negotiate both the final price and payment structure.

“There is a €10m difference between Galatasaray and Crystal Palace regarding the Ismaïla Sarr transfer,” Temel said.

Payment structure could decide Sarr deal

One of the major issues in negotiations is how Galatasaray would pay the transfer fee.

The Istanbul giants want any agreement to be spread across four or five instalments, rather than paying the majority of the money immediately.

“Crystal Palace expects a transfer fee of €55-60m for Ismaïla Sarr,” Temel explained.

“Galatasaray want to divide the transfer fee into instalments. This is the first priority.”

That could become crucial as negotiations enter the closing stages.

Palace face major decision

Sarr remains under contract at Selhurst Park until 2029, meaning Palace are under no contractual pressure to sell cheaply.

However, the player's reported refusal to train creates an increasingly difficult situation for manager Pierre Sage.

Sarr was also hugely influential last season, producing 21 goals and two assists in 45 appearances as Palace won the UEFA Conference League.

Losing him this late in the window would therefore leave Palace with little time to find a replacement.

Key Points

What’s Next?

The pressure is now increasing on Crystal Palace.

Sarr is pushing for the transfer and Galatasaray have made a substantial offer, but Palace still hold a strong negotiating position because of his long-term contract.

The question is whether Galatasaray can bridge the financial gap — or whether Sarr's determination to leave forces Palace to reconsider their valuation during the final days of the window.

Should Crystal Palace accept around €50m for Sarr, or refuse to sell unless Galatasaray meet their full asking price?
