Ismael Saibari is starting to feel too big for the Eredivisie, and now the calls for him to move are getting louder.
After another strong season with PSV, the 25-year-old has been tipped to take the next step, with former Netherlands international Khalid Boulahrouz even pointing towards Tottenham as a possible destination.
Ismael Saibari tipped for Tottenham move after standout season
Saibari has been central to PSV’s recent success, playing a key role in their domestic dominance and continuing that form into this season.

| Appearances | 34 |

Those numbers back up the argument that he has outgrown the Eredivisie level.
Speaking to Voetbal Primeur, Boulahrouz made it clear he believes Saibari should now move on.
“If you look at his statistics and his style of play, that is good enough to make a transfer… he has definitely played out the Eredivisie.” — Khalid Boulahrouz
Why Tottenham mentioned as possible next step
Among the clubs mentioned, Tottenham were highlighted as a team where Saibari could make an impact, despite their current struggles.
Boulahrouz pointed to the need for the player to join an attacking side where he can express himself and play an important role.
“He needs to go to an attacking team… he can add something extra to Tottenham Hotspur.” — Khalid Boulahrouz
From a stylistic point of view, it is not difficult to see the link. Saibari’s directness and output would suit a forward-thinking system.
However, it remains too early to say whether Tottenham have any concrete interest.
Tottenham squad depth could complicate move
The bigger question is whether a move would actually make sense for either side.
Tottenham already have multiple attacking options, including Xavi Simons, James Maddison and Dejan Kulusevski, while there is also competition further forward.
At the same time, the club’s current league position could influence recruitment plans, with immediate priorities focused on stabilising results.
