Leeds United have officially tabled a bid in excess of £26 million to sign Igor Paixão from Feyenoord, according to Sky Sports News.
The explosive winger is one of Daniel Farke’s top attacking targets this summer, and Leeds’ offer includes significant add-ons to outbid Ligue 1 side Marseille, who had also been negotiating with the Dutch giants.
Leeds Step In After Marseille Talks Stall
Marseille had previously agreed a base fee for Paixão, but struggled to finalise terms, opening the door for Leeds to move swiftly. The Whites’ proposal reportedly surpasses Marseille’s package and has reignited Feyenoord’s internal discussions.
Talks are ongoing between all parties, and while Feyenoord have yet to accept the bid, sources say Paixão is keen on the Premier League switch.
“Paixão is electric — he’d be a massive boost for Leeds in the final third.”
Daniel Farke’s Attack Rebuild Continues
Leeds United have already been one of the most active Premier League clubs this summer, reinforcing key areas of the pitch after securing promotion. New arrivals include Lukas Nmecha, Jaka Bijol, Sebastian Bornauw, Gabriel Gudmundsson, Sean Longstaff, and Anton Stach. A deal for goalkeeper Lucas Perri has also been agreed in advance.
With Patrick Bamford informed he is no longer in Farke’s plans and Mateo Joseph pushing for a return to Spain, attacking reinforcements have become the club’s priority. While Leeds are also tracking Christantus Uche, it’s Igor Paixão who stands out as the primary target for the wide forward role.

Analyst Verdict: Ideal Fit for Farke’s System?
Paixão’s combination of final-third output and 1v1 ability could be a game-changer for Leeds in their first season back in the Premier League. He thrives in wide positions, but can also drift central — ideal for Daniel Farke’s flexible attacking structure.
With add-ons pushing the deal past £26m, this would be Leeds’ biggest attacking signing since Raphinha.

Negotiations will continue this week as Leeds try to finalise a deal before pre-season ends. Feyenoord are considering the financial terms and may accept if Leeds improve their add-ons structure.
With Paixão pushing for a Premier League move and Marseille seemingly out of the race, Leeds are now in pole position to get it done.
