Fulham winger Harry Wilson is expected to return to the squad for this weekend’s Premier League clash against Nottingham Forest after recovering from an ankle injury.

The Wales international has not played since scoring in Fulham’s 2–1 win over Tottenham on 1 March 2026. Wilson was forced off later in that match with an ankle problem and subsequently missed the defeat against West Ham as well as the FA Cup loss to Southampton.

However, Fulham head coach Marco Silva has now confirmed the winger could be involved again when the team travel to the City Ground on Sunday.

Marco Silva gives Harry Wilson injury update before Nottingham Forest clash

Speaking during his pre match press conference, Silva explained that Wilson has returned to training and is close to making his comeback.

“Harry Wilson is going to be in contention. We have another session tomorrow.” — Marco Silva

If he comes through the final training session without issues, Wilson could be available for selection when Fulham face Nottingham Forest in their third consecutive Premier League match against teams battling near the bottom of the table.

His return would represent a major boost for Silva’s side given his influence throughout the campaign.

Harry Wilson key player for Fulham this season

The 28 year old has been one of Fulham’s standout performers during the 2025–26 season.
Across all competitions he has recorded ten goals and seven assists in 32 appearances, playing a central role in Fulham’s attacking play.

Having followed Fulham’s campaign closely this season, Wilson’s creativity and goal contributions have often been decisive in key matches.

However, it remains too early to determine whether Silva will start the winger immediately or reintroduce him gradually following the injury.

Wales also monitoring Wilson fitness

Wilson’s recovery is also significant for Wales as the national team prepares for a crucial World Cup qualification play off.

Wales are scheduled to host Bosnia and Herzegovina in Cardiff later this month, with the winner set to face either Italy or Northern Ireland for a place in the tournament.

Speaking to BBC Wales Sport, Wilson expressed confidence that he will be ready both for Fulham and for the upcoming international fixtures.

“I had a bit of a knock after the Spurs game which took a week or so to go, but I’m back training now. I’m hoping I’ll be good to go for Sunday and definitely for the Wales games.” — Harry Wilson
