AS Roma have revived their interest in Arsenal winger Gabriel Martinelli, with reports in Italy suggesting the Gunners believe a deal could be possible before the transfer window closes.
Martinelli's future has become increasingly uncertain following the arrival of Christos Tzolis, whose impressive pre-season performances are expected to increase competition for places in Mikel Arteta's attack.
According to Corriere dello Sport, Roma sporting director Tony D'Amico has made the Brazilian one of his priority targets after cooling his interest in RB Leipzig winger Antonio Nusa.
Arsenal willing to listen
Martinelli is under contract at Arsenal until 2027, but Roma believe that situation could help them negotiate a lower transfer fee.
The Gunners are reportedly valuing the Brazil international at between €40 million and €45 million, although the Italian club hope his contract length could lead to a compromise.
