Antonee Robinson, the talented Fulham left-back, has rejected rumors linking him with a potential move to Liverpool, but did admit that his connection to the city runs deep due to his Merseyside roots.

Born in Milton Keynes, Robinson grew up in Liverpool and spent his early years in the city. He began his football career at Everton, joining the Toffees' academy as an 11-year-old, though he never made a senior appearance for the club. Robinson's professional journey led him to Wigan Athletic in 2019, where he impressed before making a move to Fulham in 2021 for a modest fee of £2 million.

Now 27, Robinson has emerged as one of the Premier League's most consistent left-backs, earning significant praise for his performances at Fulham under manager Marco Silva. This season, he has registered ten assists, making him one of the top contributors in the league, alongside players like Mohamed Salah and Bukayo Saka.

Despite his fine form, Robinson has dismissed suggestions that he might be a target for Liverpool, even though his impressive play has led to speculation due to Andy Robertson's occasional struggles at left-back.
Robinson emphasized that while he remains closely tied to Merseyside, he is fully focused on his current role at Fulham and is not considering a move at this time.

He told ESPN: "I’ve been in the game long enough now to kind of know you have to block out the outside noise and things like that because I’ve been on the end of it when I’ve not been playing well. I saw criticism when I was younger, seeing people doubting me and things.

"So I know that there’s two sides to the coin. You just have to take everything with a grain of salt. You have to believe in yourself and when things are going bad, focus on yourself, and when things are going good, focus on keeping going."

He acknowledged the talk about a move to Anfield and admitted that his family were from Liverpool, revealing that many of them had sent him stories linking him to Arne Slot's side.

"Transfer rumours and stuff like that, I try not to look at," he added. "Especially like with the Liverpool one – all my friends and family are from Liverpool, so it’s more of them messaging me than me seeing newspaper stuff. And I have to say, 'Look, it’s just, just a story in the paper and anyone who’s doing well is going to get linked to a team'."

Robinson has played 180 times for Fulham across five season, with 29 outings in this campaign. He has helped the Whites into tenth place in the Premier League and the team have a chance of securing European football. They are just five points off fifth-placed Manchester City.

He's the best left-back right now alongside Cucu in the PL.
