Fulham Raheem Sterling transfer 2025 talk is heating up as Marco Silva's side weigh a surprise summer swoop for the out-of-favour Chelsea winger.
With Chelsea expected to offload several high-earners this summer, Sterling is once again up for grabs. The 30-year-old endured a frustrating loan spell at Arsenal last season and is not part of Enzo Maresca’s long-term plans.
Despite his pedigree, Sterling’s £325,000-a-week wage demands remain a major stumbling block for potential suitors — even more so given his strong desire to stay in London.
Fulham Interested, But Only On Their Terms
Fulham are in the market for a winger and are admirers of the former Manchester City and Liverpool forward. However, any deal would need to make financial sense.
“If Sterling truly does only want to stay in London, then he is going to need to lower his wage demands,” wrote Si Phillips. — Chelsea News
Chelsea sources suggest Sterling’s reluctance to leave London is causing frustration behind the scenes. Fulham would be open to a loan but only if the Blues agree to cover the majority of his wages.
Sterling’s Future Still Unclear
After returning from a lacklustre loan at Arsenal, Sterling’s options remain limited. Clubs abroad have shown little interest, while Premier League sides are put off by the financial package.
Unless the England international lowers his demands, a deal remains difficult — even for clubs like Fulham who are open to the move in principle.

Analyst Verdict
Sterling’s insistence on staying in London narrows the field. For Fulham, this deal makes sense only if Chelsea foot most of the wage bill. Otherwise, it’s hard to justify financially — even for a player of Sterling’s calibre.
Key Insights
- Sterling earns £325k/week – too steep for Fulham as it stands
- Chelsea open to offloading him permanently or on loan
- Fulham would only move if wage contribution is significantly subsidised
- Player prefers to stay in London, narrowing options
What’s Next?
If Sterling lowers his wage demands or Chelsea agree to subsidise a loan, expect Fulham to step up their interest. With Marco Silva looking to reinforce his attacking options before pre-season, a decision on whether to pursue a formal offer could come quickly. Keep an eye on whether rival London clubs enter the race — especially if they miss other winger targets.
Would Raheem Sterling be a smart signing for Fulham — or a financial risk they should avoid?

Personally this could be quite an astute signing if and a big if all the boxes are ticked in all the right places? Yes he has not pulled up any trees since leaving City and he will always miss a sitter or two! Coming to a team like Fulham where expectations will be somewhat lifted in comparison to where his been the last two seasons. Still has the ability to be more than influential. His a player I really think Marco can rekindle perhaps not to England status but to be more than a genuine threat up front.
