Fulham are reportedly preparing an offer to sign French defender Anthony Caci from Bundesliga side FSV Mainz 05ahead of the summer transfer window.

The 27-year-old has become a key figure at Mainz since joining from Strasbourg in 2022 and is now attracting interest from several clubs across Europe.

Caci has just over a year left on his contract, and with no extension currently agreed, Fulham are looking to pounce. Reports suggest Mainz would consider selling for around €8–10 million, which makes him a realistic target.

Who is Anthony Caci?
A versatile full-back who can also operate centrally in defence, Caci has quietly built a solid reputation in Germany’s top flight. Since arriving at Mainz, he’s racked up nearly 100 appearances and has become a dependable figure in their back line.

In the 2024/25 season, Caci has already featured in 30 matches across all competitions, contributing 1 goal and 7 assists — strong output for a defender.

Why Fulham Want Him
Fulham are expected to lose Kenny Tete, whose contract expires this summer. With no agreement in place to extend his stay at Craven Cottage, the club are now searching for long-term replacements at right-back.

Caci ticks several boxes: he’s athletic, experienced, consistent, and entering his prime. Other players are also being considered, but Caci is said to be high on Fulham’s shortlist, with preparations underway to launch an official bid.
