Thierno Barry Everton transfer 2025 talks are accelerating as the Toffees look to land their top striker target before pre-season.

The Villarreal forward is a leading name on David Moyes’ wishlist, and Everton are pushing to get the deal done early, with the Friedkin Group now backing the club’s transfer plans.

The 22-year-old scored 11 goals and provided four assists in La Liga last season, catching the eye across Europe. He also netted at the Under-21 Euros for France, underlining his rising value.

Moyes Sees Barry as No.1 Forward Target

Everton have struggled in front of goal over the past two seasons. Dominic Calvert-Lewin’s injuries and Neal Maupay’s form have left a gap up front.

Barry has a €40m (£34m) release clause, and while Villarreal would prefer to keep him, Everton are confident a deal can be reached quickly.

“We want key positions sorted before camp. Thierno fits our profile,” said an Everton recruitment source.

Friedkin Group Pushing for Fast Business

With new owners eager to make a statement, Everton are working faster than usual this window. Barry has been on the club’s radar since early June.

Stuttgart’s Nick Woltemade was also considered, but Bayern’s late move may have changed the picture. Barry now appears to be Everton’s primary focus.
