Everton submit loan bid for Chelsea winger Tyrique George

Everton have moved to address their growing attacking concerns by making a loan approach for Chelsea winger Tyrique George as the January transfer deadline nears.

Everton’s interest in Tyrique George has intensified following confirmation that Jack Grealish will miss the rest of the season after suffering a stress fracture in his foot while on loan from Manchester City.

With David Moyes suddenly short of attacking options, Everton have turned to Chelsea, proposing a six-month loan deal that is understood to include an option to buy in the summer.

George came close to leaving Stamford Bridge in the summer, with Fulham attempting to sign him on Deadline Day before negotiations broke down late on.

The winger had previously emerged as one of Chelsea’s breakout performers during their UEFA Conference League triumph last season under former head coach Enzo Maresca, who handed him regular minutes in Europe.

However, that momentum has stalled this campaign, making a January exit increasingly likely.

Everton believe George’s pace, directness and versatility could add much-needed spark in the final third, particularly with Grealish sidelined and attacking depth stretched.

From a Chelsea perspective, a Premier League loan with a potential purchase clause offers a clear pathway for George to gain consistent minutes while protecting the club’s long-term interests.
