Niko Kovac delighted with Ethan Nwaneri as Arsenal loanee makes instant Dortmund impact

Borussia Dortmund manager Niko Kovac has heaped praise on Ethan Nwaneri following the Arsenal youngster's encouraging start to his loan spell in Germany.

Nwaneri joined Dortmund during the closing stages of the summer transfer window after finding regular first-team opportunities difficult to secure under Mikel Arteta at Arsenal.

The 19-year-old has wasted little time making an impression at his new club, and Kovac believes the attacking midfielder can become an important player for Dortmund over the coming months.

Dortmund moved for Nwaneri late in the transfer window following an injury to Giannis Konstantelias.

The Arsenal youngster had been looking for an opportunity to secure more regular senior football after facing significant competition for minutes at the Emirates Stadium.
